On August 19-22, 2022, the capital of the Chuvash Republic, the city of Cheboksary (Russia), hosted the XIV World Championship for cadets, juniors, seniors and the World Cup for children of the World Karate Confederation (WKC). 829 representatives of 14 countries and territories of Europe, Asia and Africa took part in the competition: Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Zimbabwe, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Russia (the largest team was represented by 21 regions), Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Japan. In total, 1543 participants performed in the sections of the Championship and World Cup program. Unfortunately, many countries that accepted the invitation of the organizing committee were unable to come to the championship due to epidemiological and sanctions restrictions.
In the national standings of the XIV WKC Championship and World Cup, the following teams took prizes:
1st place — Russia
2nd place — Kazakhstan
3rd place — Belarus
