From December 10 to 12, 2021, the XII WKC Karate Federation Cup of Russia was held in Novocheboksarsk (Chuvash Republic). This tournament brought together 842 participants from 16 regions of Russia: Moscow, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg, Penza, Samara, Saratov, Smolensk, Ulyanovsk, Ryazan and Novosibirsk regions, the Republics of Bashkortostan, Komi, Mari El, Tatarstan and Chuvashia. Athletes participated in various disciplines for 3 days: kobudo, full contact, individual and team kata, individual and team kumite (sanbon and ippon) and according to the results of the competition, they took team places:

1st place – Chuvash Republic

2nd place — Samara region

3rd place — Saratov region

These competitions for athletes were qualifying for participation in the upcoming 14th World Cup among Children and young men and the WKC World Karate Championship among adults, which will be held in June 2022 in Cheboksary (Russia). The athletes who took places from 1 to 4 were included in the children’s, youth, junior, adult and veteran Russian karate team of the WKC version.
